         My whole life I have been very artistic. I was always either drawing or coloring whenever I got the chance. I never really wanted to make art my career although my family and friends always told me that "wow you are so talented you should be an artist for a living!" yeah, I mean I definitely took it as a compliment. But I always wanted to be a veterinarian. that obviously didn't end up working out so now i'm here. I decided that I wanted to get into graphic design. over the past few years I started expanding my artistic ability into editing. whether that's editing photos or it's editing videos. i edit. and editing is a form of art that i have never seen before. 
At the moment I tend to draw a lot of realistic drawings. my favorite being drawing my favorite actors or people. i try and draw them as realistic as possible  using graphite or charcoal. i also find myself dabbling in watercolors or painting especially in the summertime. But as for the future.. i plan on making art that matters. art that everyone will see and will impress them. my dream in the art world is to edit either magazines or movie posters. i would love to one day be able to say" hey i did that!" whenever i am at the movie theater. the future is still a time away but i think of it often.

  My Art And My Inspiration I think that my favorite form of art is drawing. And this is my personal preference by the way. Sometimes I have those days where all I want to do is just sit down with my sketch pad, grab my pencils, erasers and blending tools and get to work. It’s just a mood that I get into and when I do get in those moods, I tend to lean more towards graphite and maybe depending on the drawing I have in mind, some charcoal. My style which I feel fits me most and that I am best at is realistic art. I love drawing people that inspire me or people that I love. For example, last summer I found this actor who is from Uruguay that I absolutely fell in love with, in terms of his artistic lifestyle. He even is a graphic artist on the side like myself. my zentangle experience

I had heard of the name “zentangle” before, but I never really knew what it meant. All it was was exactly that- a word. Until I joined this art class for the spring semester. Throughout the semester I had some trial and errors when it came to trying new zentangle designs, but ultimately I made some that I really loved in the end. To me my experience with learning how to make zentangles has been a blessing and a curse. It was a blessing because it taught me how to make an entirely different piece of art than I am used to making, but it was also a curse because It was actually quite difficult sometimes. But that is believe it or not the entire point of zentangles.. Zentangles are not supposed to be easy, but the more you do them the easier they become and the better you become at doing them! M art experience at the MAG in rochester!

  The one place that I find to be most peaceful, and where I can go to feel more connected with art and my creativity is the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester. I recently went there in hopes of finding some inner peace as well as a piece of art/exhibit that I felt was absolutely perfect to write about in this blog! And that is exactly what I found.. When I walked in I didn't take a tour or anything, I just wanted to find an exhibit on my own, one that I was drawn to and that is what led me to the most colorful piece of art i’ve ever seen. I approached Alma Thomas’ exhibit; Composing Color: Paintings by Alma Thomas. Her painting The Eclipse from the year 1970,  was just absolutely jaw-dropping. The colors she used were so exquisite. This painting is acrylic plastered beautifully onto a canvas. I learned a little backstory about Alma, and that is that she actually ended up not becoming an artist until later in life.
